UPDATE: Now that the script is done, I can now start revising what I feel needs to be fixed, heres a nice list I made for myself of what needs to be tweaked.

-Dialogue: There's pages that flow very well...then there's those flat and dull pages, obviously I'm not flat, I'm round, okay I'll stop. Need to fix any pages that I feel are ruining the flow of the comic.
-Character Development: I think theres only a few characters that need to have a personality adjustment, I believe the supporting cast makes or breaks even the best comic(If there is one.) That's why Spongebob has been lasting as long as it has, because of the shows extensive use of it's supporting cast. Sure, it's a cartoon, but it I think it's a good example.
-Plot: Probably the comics biggest flaw is lack of an actual plot , from start to finish, I improped this whole script XB maybe now that it's done, I can define a better plot.
-The Jokes: Are BAAAAAAAD, okay, they're not bad, but they need some tweaking and of course need to be timed right, I don't want to rely on Satire too much, so I'm going stay away from that as much as I can. I don't care what anyone says, pop culture references are funny! they just need to be timed well just like other jokes and not as repetitive, I love when the avererage person goes "But not everyone is going to get the joke!" That's the whole point! Not everyone is supposed to get them, why do you think writers put in adult jokes in kid shows, cause they know there could be an adult force to watch it.
-Panels: Will not be average panels, I want to deviate from the black panel lines and find something else that can give the pages some flare.
-The Ending: Must not say "The End."
-Keep it Clean: Because F' bombs are soooooo cliche.

Hey everybody, just typing up another journal to let you all know how I'm doing.

First off, I went to the Illinois Institute of Art in Chicago yesterday so my advisor could explain the review process for my portfolio and also speak with another advisor about financial aid. Let me tell you, I was excited and nervous at the same time, it's an amazing gut feeling you get applying for college, hopefully my portfolio is good enough to get into the Media Arts and Animation program,I have a good chance of getting in to the college, since my essay was said to be top-notch and they were impressed that I had it finished earlier than expected, little things like that catch the eye of admissions. I am very confident that I will be accepted, I'm just waiting on whether or not I'm qualified for the Media Arts and Animation program, and that I can hopefully find a job to pay for tuition. I'm pushing to get enrolled by August 21, wish me luck

I've got some good news concerning BombSquad, I'm hard at work at tweaking existing characters and also brainstorming new characters that I haven't drawn out yet, I'm planning to draw out backgrounds of areas that will be in the comic, I'm aiming for everything to be based in Chicago city setting, this should be fun. After everything is done, I will be cooking up a slideshow showing the progress of the comic, I plan to have everydone by the end of July, wish me luck. I will be posting the comic's progress on DA and on MySpace page, I'll have other things going on like scholarships and job searching, so everything might be submitted late, or even early if I'm lucky, so yeah, hang tight.

I know a lot of you won't read this, but I have a few tricks up my sleeve.

I've been kind of disappointed with my work lately, simply because it hasn't really been attracting anyone to really look at it. I tried the thumbshare forums, but nothing, the most I'll get is a comment. Which is usually just a few sentences, but it's cool. I've been getting "fav and runs" also and I'd like to say thanks for the fav

But still, my work could do a lot better.

I think it's because my traditional work looks amaturish, and because my scanner is a load of manuer...

I am without photoshop, but I have Corel Painter, so I'll use that until I can get a new version of photoshop that works with Vista. Expect some colored pics later in the weeks.

Now, BombSsquad, I was upset that the launch for last year was kind of bad, I didn't advertise much and that's why it never worked, but now that I have some better drawing skill, I have been at work with the relaunch, I've got the cast drawn, so expect some character studies soon, and I'll have a teaser up either tonight or tomarrow.

Which now leads me to my tricks, I have a theme for this year.
